The Nike Flyknit Lunar 3 have LANDED!
We are constantly on the search for our personal favourite running shoe, so we were super keen to try these out. First impressions of the shoe is how comfortably it fits around ankle, Nike have always been a firm believer of securing the ankle as a must.
When you lace up the shoe it pulls in the Nike Flywire to really secure that mid-foot in place, leaving the slightly loser mesh in the toe box to allow the air to circulate.
The midsole is ‘Lunarlon’ foam which delivers a smooth and firm ride, the fear with Nike midsoles is the softness tends to feel like energy leaking out of the shoe but with this Flyknit Lunar 3 I think they’ve got the balance right. A good amount of firm cushioning to make the shoe comfortable but still maintaining that ‘Pop’ that you want from the shoe.
We have tried the shoes out now a couple of times and we are more excited than ever to have them in our range, Nike have been producing some amazing running shoes again (finally) and this being their top trump of Cushioned/Lightweight shoe really does deliver on the all fronts.
We know for a fact we will be using this for most of our running as it has the cushioning for the longer miles and is light enough for the shorter quicker (hahaha) stuff. A great addition to our shoe wall.
Nike Flyknit technology was inspired by feedback from runners seeking a shoe with an ultralight, second skin-like fit. Nike embarked on a four-year mission with teams of programmers, engineers and designers to create the technology needed to make the knit upper with static properties for structure and durability. Then the precise placement of support, flexibility and breathability—all in one layer—was refined, resulting in a featherweight and virtually seamless upper.
